Biography
Dr. Rajesh Kumar is a Research Expert in Basic Molecular Biology: Cloning of genes, PCR, Southern blot, Isolation and Purification of RNA/DNA, Gene editing using CRISPR/Cas9, Microarray and Real time PCR (SYBR Green & Taqman PCR), SNPs, RFLP, si-RNA transfection using Electroporation and Chemical transfection, digital PCR for vector copy number variation in Lentivirus-transduced cells and animal tissues. Cell Biology: Mammalian cell culture, Stable cell line generation using Lentivirus, cell based in vitro assays and drug screening, large scale Lentivirus production and titration, Bacterial culture, Fluorescence and Time-lapse M-scopy Immunology: Isolation and purification of lineage positive and negative cells from bone marrow, Stem cells manipulation, isolation of PBMC from blood, extraction of bone marrow-dervied macrophages, lymphocyte proliferation, Multi-parametric Flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Proteomics: Recombinant Protein expression & purification, Electrophorectic technique (SDS-PAGE, 2D), EMSA, Western blot, Recombinant protein production using Fermentor, Enzyme Zymography, ELISAs, IDO Enzymatic activity assays, Laser capture microdissection (LCM) Animal work: Animal handling, good live surgical skill, dosing (oral gavage/IM/IV/SC), Intra cerebro ventricular (ICV) injection to implant stem cells in brain, collection of different organs, Mouse Staging, Genotyping, Breeding Animal Cancer Models: Orthotopic tumor models, Patient-derived xenograft (PDX) cancer models, tumor implantation in rodents etc. Bioinformatics skills: Blast n, Blast p, q-PCR primerdesigning using Primer 3, multiple sequence alignments.
