Biography
Dr. Margaret Simonian has (PhD) in Advanced Medicine from the Australian School of Advanced Medicine, Macquarie University, Australia. She currently works as a Senior Research Fellow at LA-Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA, Neurology Dept.Dr Simonian is Reviewer for the following Scientific Journals; Journal of Proteomics, Journal of Arthritis & Research Therapy and Journal of European Proteomics. She is also an Editorial Board Member for many scientific journals, such as Journal of Protein Science Research, Journal of Applied Biotechnology & Bioengineering, Journal of Data Mining in Genomics & Proteomics and Journal of Science publications.Dr. Simonian is Organizing Committee Member for the International Conference on Precision Medicine.
Research Interest
Her research interests focuses on utilizing Proteomics and Molecular Biology in biomarker discovery and drug development of diseases, such as Brain Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs), Brain Tumors, Brain Aneurysms and Multiple Sclerosis. Her research on Brain AVMs was the first to utilize proteomics to identity protein targets for AVM vascular and molecular therapies post Radiosurgrey. She published numerous articles in peer reviewed journal and presented in many international conferences.
