Biography
João Paulo Figueiró Longo has completed his PhD at the age of 28 years from University of BrasÃlia. The focus of his thesis was the investigation of the biologicals effects of a nanostructured formulation used for Photodynamic Therapy. The aim of his research is to understand the main biological effects of Photodynamic Therapy in the treatment of tumor and microbial cells. At the moment his is an Adjunctive Professor at University of BrasÃlia, in the Brazilian National Institute of Nanobiotechnology. The main research fields are the investigation of nanoparticles in biological tissue; synthesis and characterization of lipid nanoparticles; cell biology; and in vivo imaging. At the moment his curriculum has twenty papers published in international scientific journals.
