|GuofengXie, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and an attending physician at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his MD from Beijing Medical University (now Peking University School of Medicine) and hisPhD in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University Health Science Center-Shreveport. He finished his Internal Medicine Residency training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Gastroenterology Fellowship training at the University of Maryland Baltimore. Dr. Xie is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and hold active medical license in the state of Maryland. He is a member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program within the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center Program in Oncology.As a principal investigator, his research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Cancer Society. His research is focused on developing novel therapy for colorectal cancer.|
