Biography

Dr Deepika Gupta is the Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at the Parul Institute of Applied Sciences, Parul University, Vadodara, India. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, where she was awarded gold medal for standing first among Faculty of Science. She graduated in Biotechnology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, with distinction. She was awarded fellowship from CSIR, Govt. of India for pursuing her doctoral degree in Biotechnology under the guidance of Prof. Rajinder K. Gupta from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She did her postdoctoral training with Prof. Indraneel Mittra, an eminent scientist, at Advance Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, Navi Mumbai. She has 13 full length papers and review article, published in reputed journals, to her credit. Her research interests are phytochemicals, free radicals and cancer biology, DNA damaging agents, circulating nucleic acids and their role in ageing and inflammation.
