Abstract:

Since the Alma -Ata Declaration in 1978 and its goal (Health for All by the year 2000), WHO and various governments have developed a lot of systems to achieve this goal, which unfortunately remains as a moon in the middle of the sky. Despite all the efforts, reviews of literatures show a dramatic increase in all morbidity and mortality indicators, a huge growth in the insurance market and almost universal failure in the proper management of health care services, in addition of success of some limited experiences of community oriented family medicine or community primary health care in different places of the world, with it��?s outcome in achieving some goals of the declaration. Dr. Nikitas J Zirvanos of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is not the only living examples of these projects. Taking into account the current dangerous situation and risk of different societies due to political conflicts, wars and hegemony of inappropriate insurance practice, unplanned increase in world��?s population, or even natural disasters and their global impact, all created the need for new creative thinking of Shock Doctrine Strategy in the management of health services, especially most governments in an effort to use new concepts of sustainable development approach. Healthcare planners and healthcare providers should plan for transition program to come up with new assistants or a new care model to provide the best comprehensive approach of health care services. The presentation will explore and analysis the current situation, its implications, and the impact of community-oriented family medicine as one way out of our crisis.

Biography :

Over his previous working period, He has successfully completed the following projects: Establishing ideal Family Medicine centers in the National Guard Housing campus, Taif region,1996 – 2001; Establishing ideal Family Medicine services at King Fahd Air base Housing campus, ( Al Razy Family Medicine center ) in 2003; The first community Medicine hospital in the Kingdom, within Prince Mansour Hospital in 2005; Family Medicine Postgraduate Training Program, Taif 2003 and; Community Medicine Postgraduate Training Program, Taif 2010.
