Patient Safety

Patient safety is a discipline which emphasises the analysis and prevention of medical error which often leads to adverse healthcare events. Practices considered having sufficient evidence to include patient safety practices that include use of real time ultra sound guidance during central line insertion to prevent complications, continuous aspiration of subglottic secretions to prevent ventilator associated pneumonia, etc.
