Eric Nsiah-Boateng is a young health systems researcher and an expert in social health insurance design, implementation, and management. He has a multidisciplinary background: MSc in Public Policy and Human Development with specialization in social protection policy design and financing, Master of Public Health (MPH) with specialization in health policy, planning and management, Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration, and BSc in Chemistry.
He has over 11 years professional experience in implementation and management of social health insurance programs, and over four years experience in health systems research and social policy reviews. He works as the Planning and Programming Officer at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in Accra, Ghana. He is involved in preparation of the strategic plan and coordination of program of work of the various directorates in the organization.
Besides, Eric reviews scientific research papers for publication in Value in Health, a scientific Journal of Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and Athens?s Journal of Health (AJH), an e-Journal of Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER). Eric also reviews scientific papers for presentation at international conferences and meetings of ISPOR, Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM), and International Health Economics Association (iHEA). He has also presented his research findings at various conferences and meetings of these health associations.
Eric?s research interest is in health system performance management and health policy evaluation especially in developing countries. He is also interested in participating and sharing his research work at international conferences, symposia, and seminars. Aside his academic and professional background, Eric has a strong passion for current affairs.
