Biography

Choon-Sheen Lai is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Drug Research, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She holds a PhD in Drug Discovery and Development. Her research interests include isolation and characterisation of bioactive natural products, standardisation of multi-constituent plant extracts as well as quality assessment of herbal products. She received the Merck Young Scientist Award in year 2009 for her work in chromatographic method development. She has published in a number of reputable journals and served as a reviewer for a number of national and international scientific journals.

Research Interest

Drug Discovery and Development, isolation and characterisation of bioactive natural products, standardisation of multi-constituent plant extracts as well as quality assessment of herbal products.
