Lanes a1 and a2 demonstrate reactivity of monoclonal antibody against human and rat Reg I protein respectively, revealing a band at approximately 17 kDa; Reg I protein was obtained from pancreatic juice from human or rat with pancreatitis (ammonium sulfate precipitation). Lane b contained normal mouse IgG against human Reg I and rat Reg I (b1 and b2 respectively), which did not reveal any bands.
