Although knowledge management is a term that �?�?��?½ first appeared within the commercial sector it is pertinent to many  organisations, not least those involved with healthcare. Broadly speaking knowledge falls into two categories: explicit that is often represented in document format, be that electronic or hard copy, and implicit that resides within the individual and is developed through a diverse combination of factors.
