Abstract

Perception of the role of the professional in nursing and gender. A survey in the city of Cuernavaca, Mor; Mexico

Since 2012, México reports that 9 out of 10 professionals are nurses (1), because of this there has been an increase in enrollment with male students (2), so it is necessary to fund the population's perception of the their performance, generating new hypotheses to know the new challenges facing the male nursing professional in health services. Tha major role of a nurse is to take care of all the patients of any religoius backgound. A nurse os a care-taker for pateints who prevent them from illness and improve health condition. A patient is a first priority for a nurse whether it is male or female nurses. After all, a nurse is a nurse whether it is male or female. Back in 1960s, only 2% of male worked as nurse. But, the count is in steady growth with 13%now
