Statistical mechanics: Statistical mechanics is a study which uses theory of probability and such mechanical systems where the state is uncertain. Statistical mechanics includes different topics like quantum statistical mechanics, kinetic theory, hydrodynamic limit, Thermodynamics, identical particles, classical statistical mechanics and the concept of the physical properties like heat, entropy, temperature, etc.
This field explains the thermodynamic nature of the large systems and is further extended to equilibrium statistical mechanics. statistical mechanics includes the concepts like heat, entropy etc are arised from the uncertainity in the systems state i.e, it links the thermodynamic properties to the microscopic behaviour of various materials.
