Disorders which are caused due to change in genetic material are known as genetic disorders. As men contains only one copy of X-chromosomes many genetic disorders gets inherited from mother to her son. Due to two sets of X chromosomes in female, they are more prone to be carrier of several genetic disorders. Different male specific genetic disorders include Alport syndrome (related to kidney dysfunction and causes vision and hearing problems; as it is X-linked recessive men are more likely to get affected), DMD (it affects most of the male new born which is characterized by muscle disformation), Color blindness (it is a condition where person is red-green color blind; the affected gene is present on X-chromosome hence men are more prone to get affected) etc. as there is no treatment for genetic disorders, knowing about the condition and prevention is the best cure.
