Dyslexia is a language-based learning disability. Individuals with dyslexia can find it difficulty in reading skills, oral language skills and pronouncing words. The other names of this disorder are reading disorder or reading disability and language based disorder. Dyslexia is a neurological and genetic disorder. The exact causes of dyslexia are not still clear, but the studies of anatomical and brain imagery shows the differences of the way the brain develops of a person. The people with dyslexia will have difficulty with identifying separate speech sound with in a word. All individuals will find it difficulty in spelling, writing reading, and decoding, reading comprehension; the severity may differ in each individual but it can exist along with other related disorders.
Diagnosing the dyslexia is a difficult task. There are many factors to be considered, the reviews of psychologist or other health professionals to diagnose the disability. The tests determine whether a child learns better by examining hearing information, visual information, or kinaesthetic information (Doing something). They will examine the child’s performance in different stages like allowing them to give information, Oral exam, doing something with their hands. These tests have to be done to evaluate the functioning of sensory system.
