Cell Therapy for Hair

stem cells are used for the therapy of hair. Stem cells are the cells which are capable of giving rise to other kinds of cells. These stem cells are undifferentiated. Human hair grows out of follicles on scalp. Dead or damaged follicles prevent new hair to grow. Therefore stem cells can be used to stimulate the cells already found in thee dead hair follicles and revive them. Here stem cells of patients body fat is taken (called autologous adipose adult stem cells) are harvested and injected microscopically into the affected alopecia area and thus results in hair growth.
