Cell Aging

Cell Aging decreases the cells ability to proliferate with passing of time. It is a progressive decline in resistance to stress and other cellular damages. Therefore results in a gradual loss of cellular functions and leads to cell death by a process of apoptosis. Genetic and environmental factors are responsible for aging. There are many theories on cell aging. Examples are death hormone theory, mitochondrial theory, errors and repair theory, auto immune theory and many more.
