Domestication or taming is the adaptation of wild animals or plants to serve human uses such as food, work, clothing, medicine and others. Herbivores are easiest animals to domesticate as they are easy to feed. Animals such as cows, buffaloes, sheep, dogs, cats, goat are domesticated in general.
Domestication is defined as the keeping of animals in captivity by a human community that maintains total control over their breeding, organization of territory, and food supply.
True domestication involves a combination of biological and cultural processes.
