Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process (FEE-Review Process):
Journal of Plant Biology and Agriculture Sciences is participating in the Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process (FEE-Review Process) with an additional prepayment of $99 apart from the regular article processing fee. Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process is a special service for the article that enables it to get a faster response in the pre-review stage from the handling editor as well as a review from the reviewer. An author can get a faster response of pre-review maximum in 3 days since submission, and a review process by the reviewer maximum in 5 days, followed by revision/publication in 2 days. If the article gets notified for revision by the handling editor, then it will take another 5 days for external review by the previous reviewer or alternative reviewer.

Acceptance of manuscripts is driven entirely by handling editorial team considerations and independent peer-review, ensuring the highest standards are maintained no matter the route to regular peer-reviewed publication or a fast editorial review process. The handling editor and the article contributor are responsible for adhering to scientific standards. The article FEE-Review process of $99 will not be refunded even if the article is rejected or withdrawn for publication.

The corresponding author or institution/organization is responsible for making the manuscript FEE-Review Process payment. The additional FEE-Review Process payment covers the fast review processing and quick editorial decisions, and regular article publication covers the preparation in various formats for online publication, securing full-text inclusion in a number of permanent archives like HTML, XML, and PDF, and feeding to different indexing agencies.

Plant Cell Biology

Plant cells biology is the study of all type of plant cells. Plant Cells are the basic building block of plant life, and they carry out all of the essential functions necessary for plant survival. It is particularly concerned with structure, growth, signalling, differentiations and death of plant cells.

Reproduction in Plants

There are several ways by which plants produce their offspring. These are categorised into two types: (i) asexual, and (ii) sexual. In asexual reproduction plants can give rise to new plants without seeds, whereas in sexual reproduction, new plants are obtained from seeds. Two parents are needed in sexual reproduction, and the offspring produced are genetically different to the parents. Only one parent is needed in asexual reproduction, and the offspring produced are genetically identical

Plant Pathology

Plant Pathology is a scientific study of the infectious organisms and environmental conditions that cause disease in plant, the mechanisms by which this occurs, the interactions between these causal agents and the plant (effects on plant growth, yield and quality), and the methods of managing or controlling plant disease. It also interfaces knowledge from other scientific fields such as mycology, microbiology, virology, biochemistry, bio-informatics, etc.

Plant Biotechnology

Plant biotechnology is a field that entails applying technology on life (plants). It can be defined as the modification of particular desired genes through genetic manipulation techniques.

Plant Genetics

Plant genetics is defined as the study of genes, genetic variation, and heredity specifically in Plants. It is generally considered a field of biology and botany, but intersects frequently with many other life sciences and is strongly linked with the study of information systems.

Genetic Manipulation

Genetic manipulation is, to manipulate the genome of an organism in order to produce desired traits. In the past, this was achieved by selective breeding. Selective breeding can be described this way: an animal or plant would be born with a desired trait, and a farmer would breed this plant to produce more organisms with that trait

Breeding Methods

The first requirement of any breeding programme, to release or produce genetic variation in the characters or traits in which we are interested. Genetic variation will be achieved by Hybridization. Hybridization is the crossing of two genetically different plants to achieve genetic variation. There are different types of Hybridization procedures for self and cross pollinated crops

Hybridization

Plant hybridization is the process of crossbreeding between genetically dissimilar parents to produce a hybrid. It frequently results in polyploid offspring. Plants hybridize much more frequently and successfully than animals do. Pollen from flowering plants disperses widely and may land on flowers of other species. The chief objective of hybridization is to create genetic variation, when two genotypically different plants are brought together in F1

Plant Breeding

Plant breeding is an art or science and is as old as agriculture, started since man learnt to cultivate the plants. Plant breeding is an applied branch of Botany, which deals with improvement of cultivated crops. This branch of agricultural science has contributed maximum to the increase in food production all over the world and therefore, now a day it assuming ever increasing importance in field of agriculture in every country. Plant breeding is a branch of biology concerned with changing the genotype of plant so that they become more useful. Plant breeding is defined as identifying and selecting desirable traits in plants and combining these into one individual plant.

Crop improvement

Crop improvement refers to the genetic alteration of plants to satisfy human needs. Crop improvement, the engineering of plants for the benefit of humanity, is as old as agriculture itself. With that switch began the continuous process of improving the plants on which we depend for food, fiber, and feed.

Genetically Modified Crops

GM technology enables plant breeders to bring together in one plant useful genes from a wide range of living sources, not just from within the crop species or from closely related plants. This powerful tool allows plant breeders to do faster what they have been doing for years – generate superior plant varieties – although it expands the possibilities beyond the limits imposed by conventional plant breeding. Genetic modification (GM) technology allows the transfer of genes for specific traits between species using laboratory techniques
