The various structures and functions of the cell are studied under the medical branch of cell biology, also called cytology. The various cell organelles and their structure as well as interaction with the environment is also a major area under the subject. Other significant areas include the metabolic processes, Signaling pathways, life cycle of cell and the interactions of the cells with each other. In vitro toxicology deals with the study of the effects of the various chemicals on the cells for the development of herapeutic drugs, agricultural chemicals and food additives etc.

Surgery is a medical specialization of treating a disease, illness, pathological condition etc. with the help of special instruments and techniques. Some of the acute and chronic diseases can be cured only by surgeries. Some of the acute and chronic diseases can be cured only by surgeries. Urgency, type of procedure, body system involved, degree of invasiveness, and special instrumentation are some of the grounds on which surgeries can be classified. Pre-operative care and post-operative care are the key components for a successful surgical procedure.

Microbiology deals with the study of microscopic organisms such as virus, fungi, bacteria, protozoa etc. It deals with the clinical aspects of microbes. Microbiology can be classified based on taxonomy, in the cases of bacteriology, mycology, protozoology, and phycology. Microbiology encompasses numerous sub-disciplines including virology, mycology, parasitology, and bacteriology. Since, most of the microorganisms cannot be cultured by the current means, most of the microbiologists often rely on extraction or detection of nucleic acid, either DNA or RNA sequences.

Molecular biology is a division of biology which is involved with the study of the molecular studies of the biological beings. It studies the various interactions in the body like the protein interactions, DNA interactions etc.The various techniques used in molecular biology are widely combined with techniques of biochemistry and genetics to study the biology of organisms.

The branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of animals is called veterinary medicine. Veterinary medicine covers both wild and domesticated species of animals under its scope. Veterinary science supports human health by detecting and controlling the outbreak of the various infectious diseases caused by animals.Professionally, a vet administers veterinary medicine to the animals.

It is a branch of medicine that deals with the study of Cancer. It includes the diagnosis as well as treatment of different type of Cancers. The medical practitioners who practice oncology are called Oncologists.Prevention, early diagnosis and treatment are the key components which improve the survival in cancer Breast cancer, Cervix cancer, Endometrial cancer, Ovary cancer etc. are studied under oncology for finding better ways of diagnosis and treatment of these tumors.

The technical study of the interaction between organisms and light is covered under photobiology. Photo physics, bioluminescence, photosynthesis etc are also studied under this discipline.Photobiology is broadly defined to include all biological phenomena involving non-ionizing radiation. It is recognized that photobiological responses are the result of chemical and/or physical changes induced in biological systems by non-ionizing radiation.Photobiology is the study of both the good and the bad effects of light. Studies range from the atomic level to the level of communities of organisms. Photobiologists use all of the tools of science to study the chemical and biological effects of light. Photobiology is an exciting and challenging field of science.

The study of marine organisms like phytoplankton, zooplanktons, cetaceans etc is called marine biology. Marine biology covers the various aspects like habitat, ecology etc of the marine organisms. Many species are economically important to humans, including both finfish and shellfish. It is also becoming understood that the well-being of marine organisms and other organisms are linked in fundamental ways. The human body of knowledge regarding the relationship between life in the sea and important cycles is rapidly growing, with new discoveries being made nearly every day in Marine Biology.

The molecular structure of the biological beings is studied under the structural biology. Biomolecules are too small to see in detail even with the most advanced light microscopes. The methods that structural biologists use to determine their structures generally involve measurements on vast numbers of identical molecules at the same time. These methods include Mass spectrometry Macromolecular crystallography Proteolysis Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of proteins (NMR) Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) Cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) Multiangle light scattering Small angle scattering Ultrafast laser spectroscopy Dual-polarization interferometry and circular dichroism.

Theoretical biology is often referred to as mathematical biology and this field is mainly concerned with the theoretical principles surrounding biology.Ecology and evolutionary biology have traditionally been the dominant fields of mathematical biology. Molecular set theory Mathematical methods Evolutionary biology Computer models and automata theory are some of the areas of research in Theoretical Biology.

chronobiography is mainly concerned with the study of biological rhythms and the various molecular mechanisms associated to these biological rhythms. The related terms chronomics and chronome have been used in some cases to describe either the molecular mechanisms involved in chronobiological phenomena or the more quantitative aspects of chronobiology, particularly where comparison of cycles between organisms is required.
The term translational research refers to the “transformation “of in vitro scientific studies to their actual use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Translational research amalgamates expertise and techniques to enhance healthcare facilities. The goal of translational medicine is to combine disciplines, resources, expertise, and techniques within these pillars to promote enhancements in prevention, diagnosis, and therapies.
It is a branch of medicine that deals with the efficient and safe usage of medicines and proper administration of treatment methods. Proper research is taken into account before establishing a treatment procedure.A complex network of sites, pharmaceutical companies and academic research institutions are involved in the ecosystem of clinical research. This has led to a growing field of technologies used for managing the data and operational factors of clinical research. Clinical research management is often aided by eClinical systems to help automate the management and conducting of clinical trials.
