Biography

My name is Yan chaowu, and I am 38-year-old. I got PhD and MD in Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), and my major was cardiovascular imaging and interventional treatment. Now, I work as an associate chief physician in Fuwai hospital (National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases, China). My recent research focused on the diagnosis and management of pulmonary arterial hypertension related to congenital heart disease. We have developed a new method (trial occlusion) to differentiate from the reversibility of severe pulmonary arterial hypertension secondary to patent ductus arteriosus. In addition, based on the combined use of TTE and CMR, we have proposed a clinically feasible method for non-invasive measurement of pulmonary vascular resistance in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
