Biography

He is a Forestry Engineer of the National University of Colombia (2007), post doctor in Sciences (2016) and PhD in Sciences (2015), Area of Plant Cell and Molecular Biology, University of São Paulo (Brazil) in agreement with the Ohio State University (United States). His main research areas are Plant Biotechnology, Plant Molecular Genetics and Transcriptomics. He have a work experience of 10 years, mainly in teaching and research project management, with emphasis in forestry, environment, plant biology and biotechnology areas. He has international partnerships and collaborations with researchers and institutions from Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Spain, England, United States, France, South Korea, Nicaragua, Colombia, Chile, Pakistan, Peru and Zimbabwe. He possesses an advanced level of English and Portuguese. He considers himself as a friendly, discipline and creative person, with ease of learning, who can solve problems objectively. He really enjoy supervising students, managing groups and publishing scientific papers, always leading processes of change and institutional transformation wherever he works in.
