Biography
Vasiliki E. Kalodimou MSc, Ph.D is the director of the Flow Cytometry-Research and Regenerative Medicine Department at IASO Hospital in Athens, Greece. She has studied and worked with progenitor cells from placenta, umbilical cord, and adipose tissue along with their applications in regenerative medicine and flow cytometry, with publications in the field, including research fellowships. She has published 2 books about flow cytometry, the Greek edition was published in 2010 and in 2013 the book was published from AABB Press USA and was placed as student reference material in Stanford University library, USA. Her new book: A Handbook to Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine was published this year by Speg. Co. She is a Flow Cytometry Specialist, Associate Leader at AABB CT Subsection: CT Product Manufacturing and Testing, USA, Scientific Consultant in Regenerative Plastic Surgery Institute / Pure Aesthetics, Brazil, AABB Assessor, USA, editor in many scientific journals and her biography was included in Who Is Who in the world 2014, 2015 & 2016 edition. She is in the editorial board of many scientific international journals and recently was in collaboration with OMICS Group for the conduction and completion of the 1st & 2nd preworkshop in: Stem Cell Application in Regenerative Medicine & Flow Cytometry in Greece (http://cellgenetherapy2014.conferenceseries.net/pre-conference/index.html).

Research Interest
My work purpose is to find new helpful application in regenerative medicine, evaluate the risk factors for infusion and try to make clear and easy to access measurements by flow cytometry. My work quantifies and ranks all risk of flow cytometry enumeration to prevent and minimize the false positive results from different cytometer uses, make easier and accessible QC schemes for lab use and also working to establish combinations of monoclonal antibodies for mesenchymal and adipose tissue stem cell enumeration for applications in regenerative medicine.
