Biography

I have gained experience during my post graduate training in the fields of adult psychiatry, child psychiatry, neurology, addiction medicine, community psychiatry, emergency psychiatry and consultation liaison psychiatry and in the management of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During my Post-doctoral Fellowship I have had the experience of screening for psychiatric morbidity in general hospital setting, diagnosing and treating neuropsychiatric presentations of medical disorders (outpatient and inpatient), management of inpatient perinatal psychiatric issues, managing the issues related to end of life care and collusion in palliative care, Evaluating patients undergoing epilepsy surgeries, screening and diagnosing psychiatric disorders in Diabetes and chest diseases and working with an urban mental health centre (NCWB) in Bangalore. In addition, I have handful of experience in science of yoga and its clinical implication. My area of interest also extend to consciousness, music and psychodynamic psychotherapy and developing methodology to study them scientifically to help clinical population.
