Research Interest

He is interested in prediction methods for biological problems based on machine learning and statistical methods. Also, he has worked on predicting protein structure, proteinprotein interaction sites and the functional effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms. Another major interest is analysis of protein structure and function with the aim of deriving evolutionary insights. More recently he has worked extensively with new generation sequencing data in the context of genetic regulatory network prediction. ? Also, he would like to develop Efficient protein docking algorithms ? Docking of small ligands to proteins, primarily for the characterization of binding sites ? Homology modeling of proteins ? Modeling of the activity and toxicity of small molecules as an aid to the design of novel drugs ? Applications for Next Generation sequencing (NGS) data, including algorithms and implementation.
