Biography
Barbara Budzyńska is a Professor Assistant in the Chair and Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacodynamics, Medical University of Lublin, Poland. Her research is focused on behavioral pharmacology, mainly rewarding (including locomotor sensitization, cross-sensitization, place conditioning, and withdrawal syndrome), cognitive and emotional effects of drugs of abuse, including new psychoactive substances, e.g. legal highs. Another research line focuses on the assessment of activity of the furanocoumarins in animal models. She also is a member of the Polish Pharmaceutical Society and the Polish Neuroscience Society
 
Research Interest
The research interests include the reinforcing effects of drug of abuse (including locomotor sensitization, cross-sensitization, place conditioning and withdrawal syndrome), anxiety, memory and learning, depression, nociception, Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, psychosis, measured in behavioral paradigms:
