Biography

Aradhana Mishra is senior scientist at Division of Plant Microbe Interaction, CSIR-NBRI, Lucknow, India. She obtained her Ph.D degree from RDV University, Jablapur, India. She constructed a novel Trichoderma fusant for nutritional value enhancement for agricultural purposes. The work was expanded by exploring Trichoderma sp. to ameliorate abiotic and biotic stresses in plants. She also synthesized silver and gold nanoparticles using Trichoderma sp. Remarkable job was done by her for treatment of human pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella sonner, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and MDR bacteria by biosynthesized silver nanoparticles. Her work is known for the rapid synthesis of nanoparticles through using Trichoderma and the bio-synthesized gold nanoparticles were able to enhance catalytic activity. Her recent work is known for finding a facile way for the bacterial DNA transformation by biosynthesized gold nanoparticles. Her experience in the field of research is over ten years. She has published more than 35 research articles in reputed journals and has authored four book chapters. She is also a lifetime member of The Biotech Research Society.

Research Interest

Main focus of work in nano-agritechnology to understand the interactions between biosynthesized silver nanoparticles and plants during phytopathogen infections.
