Biography
Ana Cláudia Coelho, Ph.D. received both her MSc and PhD degrees at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal. She holds the Public Health Professorship and is Professor of Infectious Diseases, Public Health and Epidemiology at the Department of Veterinarian Sciences, University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Vila Real, Portugal. She is a co-author of 7 book chapters. She has published 85 papers referenced in ISI journals and in peer-review journals and participated extensively in scientific congresses.
Research Interest
Ana Cláudia Coelho research interests are mainly in health promotion, biosafety in laboratories, clinical epidemiology and the evaluation of molecular biology techniques for the detection of Mycobacterium sp. directly from tissues and the analysis of the efficiency of easy diagnostic techniques in vivo of mycobacterial infections
