Biography

Daniel O. Odebiyi qualified as a physiotherapist in 1994 from the University of Lagos. I had my postgraduate (MSc & PhD) studies in Physiotherapy from University of Ibadan in 2000 and 2007 respectively. I worked briefly (6 years) with Nigerian Railway Hospital, EB, Lagos (now Federal Medical Center) before joining the academic. I first joined University of Ibadan in June 2002 and later moved to College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL) in November of the same year. Presently, I am an associate professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Clinical sciences, CMUL. I am involved in teaching, research and providing services. I received training in Cochrnae review in 2002; I have two reviews and I am presently on an update of one. My research areas include Physiotherapy training and practice, with particular focus is Preventive Physiotherapy including Orthopaedics (Spine/Musculoskeletal) and Ergonomics. This led me to developing Nigerian Back School Model (www.nigerianbackschool.com) in 2004. My hobbies include meeting/encouraging people.

Research Interest

Physiotherapy Orthopaedics research areas include Physiotherapy training and practice, with particular focus is Preventive Physiotherapy including Orthopaedics (Spine/Musculoskeletal) and Ergonomics. This led me to developing Nigerian Back School Model (www.nigerianbackschool.com) in 2004.
