Biography
My overarching research interest includes physiological and pathophysiological changes in central nervous system and how these changes can be pharmacologically modulated to bring about effect therapeutics for brain disorders and diseases. Education and research training spans from pharmacy, biological sciences and bioengineering, to molecular biology/ neuroscience. Worked on neuropharmacological investigation of drosophila model for in vivo drug screening, Elucidation of regulation of adult neural stem cell niche in brain by LRP2 receptor by BMP signaling using transgenic mice models. Generation of genetically engineered murine models, focusing of adult stem cell niche for identification of rare stem cell population. Confirming it as novel stem cell population by ability to give rise to multiple cell lineage using in vivo genetic lineage tracing. Investigations and mechanistic regulation of neuropathological and pharmacological that may the target for novel design of therapeutics amelioration of neurodegenerative diseases.
