Dr. Burak TURGUT received his education on Medicine in Firat University, Faculty of Medicine, in Elaz??, Turkey between 1989-1995. He completed his residency training on ophthalmology in Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University, Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He worked as an ophthalmologist in Ophthalmology Clinic of Elazi? State Hospital between 2002 and 2006 years. He entered to the Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University as a teaching staff at the position of Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in 2006. He worked on optical coherence tomography, fundus angiography, medical retina and vitreoretinal surgery with Prof. Dr. MuratKaracorlu in Istanbul Retina Institute for a time in 2007. He deserved the Associate Professorship in 2012 upon passing the examination for Associate Professorship in Turkey. He has been working in the Department of Ophthalmology at Firat University, Faculty of Medicine since 2012. He is a member of Turkish Ophthalmological Society and an editorial board member of several ophthalmology journals.Dr. Burak TURGUT has over 100 publications in various peer-reviewed journals on ophthalmology. He is a reviewer for some ophthalmology journals.
