Cardiovascular Investigations: Open Access is a peer reviewed journal that focuses on various aspects of cardiology and cardiovascular diseases. Some of the prevalent Cardio vascular diseases include atherosclerosis, heart failure, arrhythmia, malfunctioning of cardiac valves, cardiomyopathy, hypertension associated heart problems and congenital heart diseases. The Cardiovascular Investigations: Open Access journal intends to publish novel findings related to manifestation of the cardiovascular diseases, associated symptoms, diagnostic tools and remedial and preventive therapies.
The journal encompasses invasive and non-invasive diagnosis and treatment of Cardio vascular diseases. Current research developments relating to electrocardiogram, echocardiography, X-ray, coronary angiography, stress test, cardiac enzyme assays, myocardial biopsy, pericardiocentesis, cardiac catheterization, CT scan, MRI scan, PET scan, angioplasty, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, placement of stent, bypass surgery of the coronary artery, valvuloplasty, insertion of pacemaker and other facets of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease are solicited for publication in the journal.
The journal also publishes research developments in the field of angiology, cardiac anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular pathology as well as occupational and life style factors contributing to the incidence of Cardio vascular diseases like, obesity, smoking and lack of physical exercise. The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of original research article, review article, short communication, case report, letter-to-the-Editor and Editorials for publication in an open access platform. All the articles published in the journal can be accessed online without any subscription charges and will receive the benefit of extensive worldwide visibility. Processing of the articles will be done through the Editorial Manager System for hassle free operation by the authors and the publisher. It helps in maintaining the quality of the peer review process and provides easy access to the authors to track the process of manuscript evaluation and publication in an automated way. All the submitted manuscripts undergo peer review done by the external subject matter experts under the aegis of the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Editorial committee member of the Cardiovascular Investigations: Open Access journal. Approval of at least two independent reviewers and the editor is mandatory for any manuscript to be considered for publication.

Amyloidosis is a disease that occurs when a substance known as amyloid builds up in tissues and organs. Amyloid is formed from the breakdown of normal or abnormal proteins. The amyloid that is derived from these breakdown products deposits between the cells of one or more of the body's organs and interferes with the way the organs work. Deposits of amyloid in the heart cause the disease known as cardiac amyloidosis.
