Abstract

Factor analysis procedures affecting the development of sports tourism with emphasis on the industrial orientation

Tourism must be considered as an industry with two of the most common and least expensive form of advertising as an important source of employment , income and ultimately to achieve the goals of any society’s economic, social and cultural rights. The statistical study of this research was 65 managers and officials of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism and Physical Education departments of East Azerbaijan province. Likert questionnaire with five valuable scales (Cronbach's alpha reliability with 0.73) was used to gather information. The data analysis with average method has done with U-Man Whitney test and confirmatory factor analysis with using software Spss16 at level 5%. Findings showed there was a significant difference in factor saying" often young tourists participate in sport events” from the viewpoint of sport and tourism manageress, and there was no significant differences between the two groups in the other saying leading factors. From attraction factors in the development of sports tourism, between the views of two groups. There was a significant difference only in this barrier factor "religious and racial prejudices forbid the presence of people in sport events” and there was no significant difference in other barrier factors between two groups. The results of factor analysis revealed three factors of "support and services", "entertainment and family" and "cultural and social" explain total variables with about %52.19. Factors "more facilities for tourists at the residence, more presence at the sport events", "having child as a limitation for tourists" and "presence of tourists with social objectives", were the most important variables in the three mentioned factors. In order to resolve the deficit of ongoing work alongside with inactivity, province industry can support sport facilities and major sport events. So, there are strong consensus between all organizations related with tourism and sports, that suggests more attention to attracting comments and experts attitude, use of all stages planning and organizing in editing and using industry in developing sport tourism.
