Evaluation of anti-ulcer activity of ethanolic extract of Abutilon Indicum (Linn.) sweet leaves

The active constituent of leaf extract of the plant (Abutilon indicum) contains various components such as essential oils in particular eugenol which is reported to possess antioxidant potential. Eugenol is the one of the constituents of plant under investigation. Therefore based on the above facts, it is clear that no scientific studies have been carried out in Abutilon indicum regarding the anti-inflammatory and gastro protective activity, the present study has been carried out to investigate and evaluate the anti-ulcer activity of ethanolic extract of Abutilon indicum (Linn.) Sweet leaves.
