Abstract

Comparison of Sensation-Seeking in two Groups of Married Couples with High and Low Marriage Stability

The main aim of this research is to compare the sensation-seeking in two groups of couples with high and low stability. In this process, 80 couples were selected by the use of available sampling method based on Edwards et al. (1980) for responding to the marriage stability questionnaire categorizing into two forty people groups with low and high marriage stability. In order to measure the degree of sensation-seeking, test-takers respond to Zuckerman fifth questionnaire form. For data analysis, multivariace, uni-variance and independent T test were used. The results of the research showed that sensation-seeking on the stability of marriage are not significant at 95% confidence level. Among the components of sensation-seeking and boredom relieved only two components of deterrence, there were significant differences between two groups of male vulnerability.
