Hamed Ardeshiri , Najaf Aghaei

The aim of this paper is to determine the motivational factors of taking part in scientific- proficient competitions. This was a cross-sectional study design including all trainers of Southern, Northern and Razavi Khorasan in Iran. The sample was determined using Morgan’s Table (n=192) people that were selected using stratified sampling .Data collection measure was a 30 – item questionnaire with five response options (Cronbach's alpha coefficient of reliability= 0.92). . SPSS software was used to run the analysis. To analyze the dataone-group Kolmogorov– Smirnov test, T test and unilateral variance analysis were used. The research variables include main variables of research (motivational factors of participation) and the interfering variables. The motivational factors of participation were measured in the six following areas: 1) Welfare equipments, 2) Performance situations, 3)test contents, 4)results and rewards, 5)effectiveness on professional performance and 6)factors of inner motivation. The findings of the research showed that the welfare equipments, results and awards, the effect of competitions on their professional performance and their inner motivation have meaningful effects on their taking part in the competition. In addition, the results showed that between the inspiration of taking part in the scientific-proficient competitions and the training courses during working years exists a great difference. Further, the ideas of trainers who have had proficient study of physical education and the ones who haven’t had the proficient training for that differ about of motivating factors of participation in these competitions again, except the factors of welfare equipments and results and rewards. So, it’s necessary to pay more attention to the factors mentioned in order to raise the motivation of trainers.
